THE WEEKEND... Can get some rest at last. This week was quite heavy-going with all the projects to hand up and present. I am just so glad it is over for now. Especially the stupid business, government and society (BGS) report. Went mad reading pages and pages of The Body Shop. There was this 51 page audit to read also. Wahlao.. like we're so free to actually see the whole thing. Hurhur. Finally I can get down to reading the devil wears prada after so long.
Of course, with so much work, we gotta make full use of the school facilities to destress. Since that's where so much of our school fees are going anyway. So besides working our asses off, this week has been dedicated to checking out the nice hangouts of school. And other things around.
Went with the analytical skills (AS) people after tuesday's class to Frujch (think it's spelt like that..) , this place in the school underground where you can play games like xbox or board games, slack on nice, comfy sofas and buy drinks. It was damn cool la. The bunch of us discovered that we could play pool for free there! Haha. And there was this air hockey game we were playing also.. Just pay $1 for one game and it lasts for quite a substantial period of time! Hurhur so fun!! And the best part is it's relatively empty too so we didn't have to wait to play anything. Oh.. and tuesday is ladies' night too!! Yay! 3 vodka ribenas for $11. It means everytime we finish class, we can go there and get cheap drinks =D.
Then after econs class on wed, I went to eat with the econs people and bao at the kopitiam opposite sess. And I found this nice desert that I have never really seen anywhere else.. Snow Rainbow!!! Hmm, actually is it some common dessert? No right..? Ok anyway, it's perfect for people who loooove sweet stuff. It's like this ice kachang thing without all the disgusting beans, corn, atapchi thingies and funny green wormy stuff. Instead, there's green and red jelly, with sweets inside!! The sugared marshmallow old-time favourite sweets! Then on top, it's one big scoop of strawberry ice-cream and the ice is full of condensed milk and rainbow sprinkles. Heehee!! Although it sounds overwhelmingly sweet, it really tastes very good. ~sugar fix
After that, we went to try out the Wellness Centre, also in the school underpass. Quite a nice place to relax one corner and do nothing. That place is like an interesting mix of funky zen, where there are bright-coloured cushions in place of chairs (although nobody sits on them.. looks quite retarded..) and low tables to play board games. Hurhur.. smu is like full of places with board games la.. Not that it's a bad thing. According to "the Centre's rules", we're not allowed to sleep and use laptop. So after stoning for a while, we took out this game very similar to uno stacko and started playing. Haha so fun. Went to try out their free massage chairs at the other end of the room too (: . A while later, there were some blind masseurs that came so I got a shoulder massage. Oh my.. they are really very strong. Haha. But it felt great. Haven't gotten a good massage in a long time. Can't do it too often though. Costs 12 bucks.
Ohwells. Have to go back to homework tomorrow. Roars. While the nus people are all having their break next week already!! So fast!!! Next week we gotta mug for our mid-years... Exams are all in the following week. But quite happy to see my dear ij people too =DD. Yay!! Hmmm.. Realise most of the weekend would be gone after nightbiking the entire night with the smux people tomorrow. And catching up with loads of sleep on sunday afternoon. Argh!! Got a lot to do during the weekend!!

Was just checking what we were doing for tomorrow's creative thinking lesson tomorrow.. and guess what..
GROUP ACTIVITY: SMU IDOL
Our lives are enlivened by the creative work of talented musicians. We enjoy singing their songs and gyrating to their music in our spare time. Our enthusiasm has led to the success of TV shows like American Idol or Singapore Idol.
Instead of merely watching these shows, now you have the chance to be an SMU idol. Your task is to stage a musical performance in class. It should be based on a popular song by a famous musician or band. Your song can be in English, Mandarin, Indian etc.*
You can either go solo in this musical performance, or do it in a small group. Where possible, you should choreograph a dance to go along with your song. To complete the act, choose an interesting stage name that will appeal to the audience e.g., Bridge over troubled water by Sirvana
* You need not sing the whole song, just a part of it including the chorus. It should preferably be accompanied by music.

What life seems to be all about now: pick-ups, questionnaires and Sparkling Diamonds.
Hmmm...
Our projects are so interesting right.. Blahs. It would be, if not for the atrocious datelines.
Anyway, part of out Managing People at Work (mpw homework is doing this personality test. It's quite cool. Try it out!

According to it, I'm very unfriendly, unsympathetic, unaltruistic and totally neurotic. =S. Haha. And we're supposed to evaluate the results for the next class for some self-reflection thing. Oh gosh..
So troublesome living in woodlands now. Moved house on thursday.. And it was so sad.. to see my grandma's house getting further and further, knowing that we won't belong there anymore once we're out, as the car slowly moved off the driveway. She's going to be so lonely staying alone there with the maid. The only thing good about it is that I can start making A LOT of jogging plans with jo. *big big evil grin* Yay, it's good to live near people you're close to. Other than that, I am damn far from my town and have to wake up at 6.15am just to get to school at 8.30. Rawr. It's just like jc days la. Always had to wake up early to get the key for the class. Back to black, puffy eyes and sleepy days...
Anyway there're so many things going on now! Just went for the freshman bash at mos sometime last week and it was damn fun!! Almost everyone in smu was there, so everybody was moving around different groups of friends to drink and dance. Then they also brought the cages to the bigger dancing area and did up the place with mannequins wearing pretty circus costumes hanging on trapeze ropes so it made look quite cool. Haha, then jioed daisy along! Hmm and due to a strange turn of events, caleb somehow came along too. Initially we were hanging out with my orientation group, then somehow ended up with the smux people. Omg they're mad la! Haha! Dunno who came up of the idea of drinking flaming lamborghinis, the 80% alcohol drink with the blue, intimidating flame on top of the drink. So of course, nobody wanted to miss out on the fun and everybody went to drink it. SO SCARY!! But I tell you, it's really shiok!! Ended up playing drinking games at the pure room like I Never and the Superman/Batman/Spiderman game. Hahaha damn retarded.
A few days after that, went for Watershock with the smux people again. Yay, smux people rock!! Haha!! It was this water activity event at marina bay and the entry fee was just $5, and after that, you can do unlimited water "rides" or whatever you call that. So there was banana boat, wakeboarding, sailing and land activities too like kite-flying and inline-skating. So we met up as early as possible and chionged for wakeboarding immediately!! Waaah all the guys are damn good la. 1st/2nd attempt all wakeboarding like pros already.. I can't even stand properly on the board after trying like 5 times.. Grrr.. Then we all went sailing too. Hurhur.. but there was no wind that day, so there were one whole bunch of poor, tired sailors manually paddling the sailboat just to move off from the jetty-like area. But it was really cool to just float in the middle of the river and go past the esplanade and watch the singapore skyline. =). Our group won 2nd and 3rd for the telematch too! So think we got some Creative thing.. some mp3 case or dunno what la.. Left too early so didn't get to see.
Next week there's gonna be an arts festival to look forward to! And wake-boarding clinic! And basic hip-hop class!! If I go early enough to get tickets. *grin* What a wonderfully hectic life! Ok.. back to reality.. off to practise Sparkling Diamonds... Gotta master it by tomorrow..!! Oh no... Datelines datelines datelines..... Need to find more people to do creative thinking surveys.... And write all those articles..... And write proposals..... And read case studies... And do stats..... *on the verge of pulling out hair*
