Finally it's the weekend!!!!!!!

I miss this place. It's so rare to have some (perceived) personal time to let things settle down and do some leisurely thinking. Before my Management Accounting meeting at 7pm. Arghhhh on a friday of all days. And before our night cycling trip. =)) Though I think I'll miss all the crazy things the hostel peeps are going to do tonight. =(. Damn.. guys.. eat supper later please.

Horrible weeks are very neccessary, alongside a small hint of a weekend. Because.. when you get over it, suddenly it feels like a scene fresh out of Enchanted with all the hustle and bustle of life all around you, while a happy song bursts out at the back of your mind. It's like your a heightened "appreciate things" sensation while there is a temporary lack of burden.

I have 45mins more to feel this before 5.45pm before reality of work sets in once more.

Just came back from sociology class. And I realise that out of all the modules I'm taking this semester, I really like sociology the best. Hahaha though I think it's partly because I randomly answered some question in class then the prof just gave me 1 point to add to my quiz yayy!

There's so much to this subject.

I mean like.. how do you answer, "Who are you?"

"If you are defined by society, and you portray yourself as a different persona to every different individual, then how do you consolidate this integration of personas to become you?"

"How much control do you have over who you are.. And can you be anything without anyone?"

Class food for thought. It's nice to question.

After class, it was weird..

Suddenly thinking of all the friends that I have, how our group came to be, hung together and slowly developed whatever group norms and expectations.

How these norms and expectations shape the way we are, and how people perceive us as a group.

How people in the group perceive each other.

And through all those perceptions, how people not in the group see us to be.
And how this results in who we become.

Strangely enough, Sociology's not even part of my business core. Just an arts elective module I have to take. This is terrible!! I have to declare my business major this year and I don't like and don't feel cut out for any!! Dreadful dreadful dreadful.

I was talking to Renjie just now, and he has brought to my awareness how I'm suffering from Separation Anxiety. Or basically, the fear to lose something that you have. I really enjoy my hostel stay (especially this semester), and all the people here. All the "study" sessions at 0408, the late night suppers, the funny random gossips and stories and whatnots.. And I'd really hate to lose all of that. A lot of people seem to be moving out and with that, new people will come in. I guess there's still a chance it might not happen. Who knows...

Flying of to the States from 30th Jan to 8th Feb.
