These are the babes and dudes I spent Valentine's Day with! Celebrated dan's (the half-french half-vietnamese dude standing in the middle) belated birthday too! And then it was back to our leadership project and community service project with them for almost the rest of the day. Good good, things are moving relatively smoothly.

And of course, there was still the evening and night to go =).

Hung out at the smux table at the library after that to clear LOADS of Rendezvous Le Soir emails. Our night cycling ride is coming soon!! So exciting!!

Our apartment threw an 04-04 (where we live..) Vday Private Party at night! The girls did a great job whipping up a delicious Italian and Burmese cuisine! Didn't really help though cuz I was clearing all the nonsense in the library. Argh. Feel so bad. But never mind. I'll do the cooking at the next party!! Hmm.. well, I'll master how to cook next time.

Invited some guys from the other block to join in the fun too =). The entrance fee was flowers and chocolate. Which they so gamely brought. Yayy!! Royce, Ferrero Rocher (spelled like that?) and one stalk of dark red rose.

After the party, we simply had to take a nice picture of ourselves. So here goes.. the age old 1-2-3-4-5-6 pose. Haha finally got to do it after hearing about it 2 years back. So fun! I think we may be photoshopping this and then jazzing up on our plain and empty wall with the edited picture. Can't wait!

Thanks for all the sweet messages and lovely valentine's day gifts! You guys rock =))) Love them all!!!

And special mention to junyi, zhihao, weibin and adrian who bought roses for EVERY SINGLE GAL IN SMUX!! Omg that is damn thoughtful of you all. You really made our day.

By the way, the stuff in the yellow packet is dried yak meat. And it tastes sooo good. Haha. My dear 04-04 girls gave it to me. Shipped all the way from china!

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY EVERYONE!!!
Spread the love =)

You know how in business law, they tell you that for a contract to be formed, it need not be adequate but must be sufficient.
(To me it's like when you're doing business, it need not be ethical but must be legal. Don't know if it's an accurate comparison though.)

Hmm ok although this doesn't link so much with what I said.. But. I feel quite liberated at this point in time cuz I've done all that is sufficient of me, although I did not do it adequately. Sent all the emails I needed to sent for one thing. I'm cleared of by urgent obligations for the day. That is rare. It calls for a celebration. (Bleah I need to read FA actually.)

Today, I've hit enlightenment!

Usually, I'm always procrastinating and doing bo liao stuff instead of doing what really needs to be done.
However, today I realise how to solve the problem.
I will use the bo liao stuff as a source of motivation for me to look forward to do while I do what needs to be done!!
The faster I do what needs to be done, the faster I can do bo liao stuff!!

Ok fine, so that's common sense. But it's hard to actually harness that common sense, or however you describe it, in packed non-stop days like these. There's hardly any room for common sense in these senselessly routine days. Week 8 please hurry up come.

Had a nice saturday catching up with people! Met my dear jc friends, melia, sey, xiwei and jiacheng for lunch at.. *gasp*.. tampines!! Wah that is like at one far far end of Singapore!! Yay everyone was looking good and we did some catching up. Went to sey's favourite place FOX to buy clothes!! And drank the sweetalk tea that melia was mad about! First teh bing, now sweetalk tea.. Mwahaha. Then we all went with jiacheng to go to Singapore's biggest ikea ever!! Which was the reason why we came to tampines.

Argh. On the way to ikea by bus, there's this equally big, blue place that looks like ikea!! So we stopped there just to find out it was some security guard office!! =="!! Haha then we were all speculating whether the bus driver thought we were all security guards in disguise. Cuz that's the only reason why anyone would go there! It's super ulu la. Then somebody suggested walking all the way to ikea! Madness!! Hahaha.

Luckily we were smart enough to take bus again. If we walked, it'd have probably took us 2hrs. Oh, I love ikea!! It's always so inspiring walking around and seeing what you can do to spruce up what you have. By the way, what you have around you is usually a reflection of your personality. So it's almost as good as remaking your reflection of your personality to how you perceive it to be.

I bought this normal size mirror for.. guess how much!! $9.90 only!! OMGG!! It was so big and bulky to carry but I was more than glad to do it for such an awesome price! Bought a cuboid vase and red flower for our hostel too!! Prettaye!! Sey got nice photoframes!! And.. damn jialat.. jiacheng, the person who wanted to come to ikea, just bought a pack of batteries!!! *faintz*!!! Left with melia and xiwei after that.

Haha, poor xiwei had to help me carry my mirror cuz he was the only guy left. And there was no place to put the flower so we stuck it in one of the holes of the brown paper wrapping the mirror.
So basically, it looked like xiwei was carrying this cardboard with a red flower sticking out at it's side. Damn romantic looking can!! Wahaha!! He looked like he just bought some super wonderful vday gift for somebody special.

Rushed to the hostel to put everything back before chionging to cj to meet auddie and the legionaries for youth rally!! Haiz, as much as aud messaged me not to be late (I left 2hrs before the time we were supposed to meet la!!!), I still couldn't help but be late. ROAR. I hate my stupid late habit. Anyways, saw alethea, alex, alison and her friend!! I am so the odd one out. See everybody's names start with A except me. A-listers. And K-box fanatic. Mwahaha!! Ok sorry that was so random.

Saw daisy and her sis too!! So surprised! Their church was helping out with the rally! Saw charmaine too!! Haha but she was sooo busy running around here and there. It was like this half-catholic half-christian praise and worship session. Hmmm. Weird that I actually went. But ya la just to see my auddie.. Haha. Wanted to see the newly done-up library too!! But the doors were locked. Saddd... But my gosh the PAC (erm.. forgot what it stood for.. oops. something like a lecture theatre but the stage is nicer.) toilet was giganormous!!! They should change all cj toilets like that. Then all the toilets will look like hotel toilets!! Yay!! Don't need to take bus to use hyatt toilets already =DD

Chionged back to do some smugging for midterms. The midterms that never were. Dammit.

Oh thought of another way to use the sufficient/adequate thingy!! It's sufficient that I blogged but inadequate cuz there are no pictures. Yes. I'm getting better at this. Fascinated by the sufficient/adequate nonsense. So retarded right.

Ok off to sleep. Good luck for midterms everyone!

I think it’s so cool to be a Resident Senior (the Year 2-4 students who lives in the hostel at half price and takes care of the rest of the room hostellites). They know the other resident seniors around and it’s just like hanging out and living right next door to your friends.

In fact, when everyone earns enough money and meets the Singapore-rule requirements of getting a house (must be at least 35 if you’re unmarried or divorced à only a matter of plus-minus 15 years) , it’ll be damn fun to buy houses within 5 minutes of each other. Then we can pop by anytime we like. Take turns to organise parties. Throw a neighbourhood major potluck. Organise jogging\gymming\squash\basketball\badminton\soccer sessions. This is like how fun..?!
Like a little “friends” community. =DD

No class today. Just our LTB meeting. Which I feel is getting better since we are getting noisier now. Haha. Oh damn, it’s Thursday again. My most hated day. Cuz I always gotta quickly mug my financial accounting (FA) for later and do 6 questions of 1hr/qn assignments. Every single time. I HATE FA……

Lyn came over to the hostel after kickboxing to chiong FA after smugging for many many many hours in the group study room (gsr) that people always make out in. Haha. She keeps on buying fish crackers when she mugs. So I’m like forever kope-ing crackers from her. Yay! Oh man she already take FA before then still so stressed. Bleah like that then the rest of us who are seeing it for the first time are sooo dead.

Oh shit it’s so late already. Back to attempting to mug. Argh. I think I’m neglecting too many other things. Like washing the hostel toilet. Today it’s my turn. EEEK!!

There are so many unfinished stuff to settle. And every time I miraculously manage to finish one thing, more stuff is just thrown at ya. Yesterday, I felt so happy and free because I finished everything I was supposed to do for the day. And suddenly, today, one whole pile of miscommunication just “fell on me”. As in, there was a lot of miscommunication within this certain group. And I’m the only one in the position to go and clear it up. DAMN. It ain’t gonna be pleasant when I break the news man. This is damn shitty.

Bleah. All the things I’m doing out of my school work is keeping me so busy that I have to resort reading the textbook in class concurrently while the lecturer is teaching. And I still can’t participate!!! Freak. It so makes the difference between the B+ and the A-. If I can get there in the first place.

I NEED A BREAK!! Anyone up for a movie? No. In fact a movie is not enough. I want to go to Switzerland. Lauterbrunnen. Went there once and I can't get enough of it.

Check it out! It’s even prettier when you’re there yourself instead of just seeing the picture (duh..). To feel the overpowering presence of the mountains. To just stare and enjoy the hypnotic effect of the waterfall. And just sit in the middle of it all. In the middle of all (well, most) that is untouched by Man.. No troubles, no worries, no responsibilities and no one to answer to.

All the work and all the things I’m supposed to answer to is really affecting my mood. And the fact that I’m aware that it’s affecting my mood is getting me irritated, which is affecting my mood even more.

I’m supposed to be happy today. Tuesdays are the days which I go home after school to see my grandma, brother and mum. But I wasn’t so I acted so…. Not happy enough type of thing. Which made me even more unhappy with myself. But if I acted happy, that would make them happy, but I’d feel so horrible inside and that’d suck too.

Oh freak. I’m in an entanglement of vicious cycles. Ate chocolate to make myself feel all better. It really worked. Within seconds of feeling so drained of energy, I felt so released of worry. Oh shit is this a symptom of chocolate addiction? When you rely on it to make you happy? I need to go to the gym.

We had to film our own presentations last Tuesday for comms class, watch it (urgh!) then feedback to the prof on our strengths and weaknesses. And the only thing I saw when I watched my presentation were all the fats. If I could put under weaknesses: fats, I would. But of course that is just ridiculous.

What do you do when what makes you happy also makes you fat?

=Trapped in a rambling of nothing=

“Where am I?”
“Why dear, you’re in your own mind.”
“What do you mean?”
“I mean what I mean.”
“Tell me then, how can I get out of here?”
“Do you see it above?”
“It’s white everywhere.”
“No, above, dear.”
“No.. What do you mean?”
“Do you not know why you see what you see?”
“Why am I here?”
“Then perhaps you should ask why you chose to come here.”
“I did not.”
“The mind is a mysterious thing. It is independent of you, me and everyone else.”
“Who are you?”
“No, who are you? When you see who you are, then you will see who I am.”
“Get me out of here.”
“I already said it was your choice to be here. And so, it is also your choice not to be here.”
“I choose to go out.”
“It doesn’t work that way. You will have only made that choice when I am not in it. And you have chosen to let me be still here. Don’t continue any longer and I won’t be here. Now the choice has been made.”
